The Next Chapter Books and Art is owned by Michelle Garren-Flye, a local author. In 2021 Michelle was named the Heart of the Pamlico Poet Laureate.
Michelle has always been an avid reader. Some of her favorite books are Alice in Wonderland, Little Women, Watership Down and anything by Jane Austen, Anne McCaffrey or Mark Twain.
Being an independent author, Michelle is aware of the challenges that face any artist. She’s happy to have a place where her own books have a home, and she’s even happier to provide a place for other artists to bring their work.
